Cargo's eco-friendly line PlantLove and Giovanni Organic Hair Care

Hi there! I hope you're having a safe and festive holiday season. Happy New Year to everyone! I've been busy lately so I haven't written in a long while, I know. I apologize. As always, I hope to share with you some great news. I know I haven't posted as often as I should so here goes.

Cargo brand has released a fairly new line of eco-friendly products packaged in compostable plastic called "PlantLOve". Their marketing mantra is, "Red Lips. Green Conscience." One of the most promising items is the collection of fashionable shades of lipstick. It is great to know you can be green but not have to stick to only very natural shades, but can wear all the season's best colors too. Cargo is, self-proclaimed, the only prestige line to make a lipstick with a botanical blend without:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrance
- Synthetic Dye
- Petro-Chemicals
- Phthalates

Now, unlike most of the other products I've mentioned here, I havent actually used this one. This is a product mention not a review. I wanted to clarify it. I will always let you know which products I have used and am relating to you firsthand. [But it does sound great doesn't it? I'm buying it soon. It's available at Sephora.]

Also as a BONUS, I'm going to do a double product mention- and this one IS a review.[To make up for my recent neglect. :(] This product I have used. It's called "More Body Hair Thickener by Giovanni Organic Hair Care". This product really lives up to its name. The first day I tried using it after I bought it, someone immediately told me my hair looked different! The product has less hold than I would have liked, but its main purpose is volumizing and adding body, which it does well. This it does even in dry hair with no blowdrying. However, add it to damp hair as directed and blowdry, and you will get great results. The smell is pleasant, like upscale hair care products. It is organic and available at most Whole Foods stores!

sincerely yours,

rOsE

I recently got into the whole natural hair care network via You Tube, trying to figure out what to do with my hair when it's not straightened. It's another awesome place to check real-life product reviews from chix who have tried things firsthand, because you can find people from the same ethnic/racial background as you who have tried a product (b/c as you know, product reviews from people from other backgrounds aren't always helpful, esp. in my case when it comes to hair...LOL) I have heard good things about Giovanni products...didn't know they carried them @ Whole Foods, I guess I'll actually have to venture inside one now...(BTW this is Erayna..)
